Swimming Pool Repair Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in pool maintenance and repair. As a Pool Repair Technician, you will be responsible for general pool repair and maintenance, including pool equipment, plumbing, and low-voltage wiring. This customer-facing role requires a professional approach to maintain our high standard of customer care.

  • Diagnosis and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot issues within pool and hot tub systems.
  • Equipment Evaluation: Thoroughly evaluate customers’ pool and spa equipment to identify necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Customer Communication: Meet and communicate with customers about needed repairs, providing clear options for addressing their pool and spa issues.
  • Documentation: Properly document jobs and work performed using company-provided software.
  • Internal Communication: Communicate quickly and clearly with office staff and supervisors through email, messaging, or in-person discussions.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Perform filter sand changes, pump, filter, and heater replacements with minimal oversight.
  • Vehicle Management: Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, conducting weekly inspections and notifying the office of any issues in real-time.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and restock necessary equipment at the end of each day.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used for each pool and spa.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on-site.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to complete larger projects or repairs as needed.
  • Hot Tub Repairs: Perform repairs on in-store hot tub line as required.

  • Proven mechanical knowledge related to pool and spa systems and equipment repair.
  • Experience in pool maintenance and cleaning is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with major manufacturers of pool and spa equipment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pool technician.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and move over 100 lbs.

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: Starting at $19.00 per hour. Pay will be based on experience. 
  • Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week, overtime hours available.
